Since 1998, Save the Children Denmark has worked to prevent sexual abuse images of children from circulating on the web. The hotline assesses around 300 reports every month from citizens who have found abusive images or videos of children online.

The report handling takes place every weekday except from holidays and weekends and follows procedures as defined by the international hotline organisation INHOPE. Hotline staff cooperate with other hotlines and with the national police and exchanges information about illegal content in order to investigate and remove illegal content.
